OUR STORY

The story of Cruvinel Brothers BJJ Norwalk begins with Marcos and JP Cruvinel, two brothers whose mastery of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and dedication to teaching built a legacy of excellence. For more than 20 years, they have developed students and competitors through discipline, respect and technical precision.

Among their students was Coach Steven Luciano. After years of training under their guidance, Steven earned his black belt from Marcos Cruvinel — a milestone that represents not only technical mastery, but the passing forward of a tradition built on honor, humility and excellence.

With their blessing, Cruvinel Brothers BJJ Norwalk was created to bring that lineage to Norwalk: authentic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tradition paired with modern coaching systems, youth development, self-defense, fitness and community.

ABOUT COACH STEVEN LUCIANO

Coach Steven Luciano brings together martial arts, tactical discipline, higher-education leadership and modern fitness coaching. A Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, certified NASM trainer and nutrition coach, Steven’s approach blends movement, mindset and mentorship.

His vision for Norwalk is to build a flagship academy for youth development, women’s self-defense, adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and high-level training — a place that produces skilled martial artists and strong, disciplined people who carry the Cruvinel Brothers ethos into everyday life.
